# Open Source Dharma Protocol

The **Open Source Dharma protocol** seeks to make it easier new forms of dharma to emerge, by creating and maintaining **open standards** that incentivizes permission-less innovation, cross-lineage collaboration, and transparent organization.

The main standard is around [Open Content](/standards/open-content.md) which makes teachings accessible and open to further iterations - that's the main standard to follow to be part of the Open Source Dharma movement. The second one is around [Transparent Ethics](/standards/transparent-ethics.md).

There are also two optional standards around [Transparent Governance](/standards/transparent-governance.md) and [Transparent Finances](/standards/transparent-finances.md).
