Every Open Source Dharma lineage must have a clear pathway laid out for practitioners, describing what’s expected for them to become Core Contributors of the teaching corpus. Think of this as the open source dharma equivalent of a ‘lineage holder.’ Each sangha must determine for itself what this pathway looks like, and what it entails.

With the integration of this core contributor status is recognized as a formal attainment. This is the only required attainment in Open Source Dharma.
